Installation and Care Your stepping stones should be installed in the ground on about an inch bed of sand or gravel to provide a level surface and good drainage. Dig a space deep enough for the stone and the sand/gravel so that the stone will be at the desired level when installed. Stepping stones may be brought indoors for the winter, although it is not necessary unless your climate has extreme freezing and thawing or if your stones will be installed in an area where water does not drain well. A concrete sealer may be applied to the mosaic for protection, although it is not necessary. If these directions are followed, your mosaic will give you years of enjoyment in your garden. |
