The creation of
a custom stained glass design is labour intensive. The more
intricate the design, the higher the cost.
Here is how to
calculate your own rough estimate:
Custom Design Fee is $20.00 CAD, to cover my time working with you to achieve the design pattern and choose the glass colours you like.
Materials Fee is $20.00 CAD/square foot. This covers glass, solder, and all the other materials that go into your piece.
Labour depends on the size of the piece and complexity of the design you choose. Figure $75.00 CAD per square foot average; this covers the craftsmanship and effort that goes into assembling your stained glass.
For an example, let's use a window design that is 12 by 24 inches.
$20.00 custom design fee
$40.00 materials fee (2 square feet @ $20.00)
$150.00 labour (2 square feet @ $75.00)

Factors that might alter the price include:
Any extras you may choose to include in your design, such as jewels and bevels.
The size of the piece and the complexity of the design.
Materials fee may go up depending on the glass you choose for your window.
Shipping or delivery and installation costs.
An exact quote will be given before work is started, and a 50% (non-refundable) deposit is due at that time. A free quote is always available.
